Symposium of China International Finance Society and 2013 Studies of International Finance Forum (Spring) was held in Guangzhou on April 19th and 2oth.
On April 20th, Symposium of China International Finance Society and 2013 Studies of International Finance Forum (Spring) was held in Sun Yat-sen University. Attendees discussed the challenges, opportunities, innovation and development in the current financial situation, both in China and internationally. Wang Yongli, executive vice president of the Bank of China, said that the world economy is still in a state of excess capacity and excess liquidity, and that the financial crisis is not over. While many countries’ active fiscal monetary policies involve issuing predefined amount of currency, Wang cautioned that if every country were to adopt quantitative easing, the results could be disastrous.
