The authority of Confusion Classics was established through the means of interpretation. The history of which was filled with exclusive discourse contentions, and politics, evidence and misreading were applied as basic strategies. In the course of establishing the hermeneutic system of Gongyang Zhuan, it has always been an important task to suppress the hermeneutic system of Zuo Zhuan. Political means, evidence collection and intentional misinterpretation have constituted basic strategies for the hermeneutics of Gongyang Zhuan to compete for the discourse power.
