The rise and iterative development of AI writing has triggered huge transformations in contemporary writing. The creative writing should take the epoch-making technological changes in AI writing as an opportunity to review the discipline’s positioning, systematically adjust the curriculum system, research objects, teaching methods, and faculty development, focus on improving meta-writing ability and algorithmic humanistic literacy, intensifying training in prompt engineering and human-machine adversarial writing. Research achievements in generative narrative and lyrical grammar should feedback into the algorithmic mechanisms of AI writing. The creative writing discipline should strive to become the developer of AI writing algorithms, dominant user, and authoritative evaluator of outcomes in the new writing era, and provide core support for the national cultural industry, cultural undertakings, and public writing practices.
