Theoretical Foundations, Realistic Obstacles and Practical Paths of Creative Writing

The ontology of creativity based on the creativity of ordinary people, following the basic rules of creativity and expression, and adhering to the public attributes of creative writing constitute the three major theoretical cornerstones of creative writing studies. The current development of creative writing urgently needs to break through the barriers of the innatist conception of the writer, the intellectual paradigm of traditional writing, and the old establishmentarianism of the literary disciplines. In the past 20 years, creative writing has initially taken the path of professional education, general education and community writing. In recent years, China’s creative writing has ushered in a historic opportunity for development, and has made great progress in theory and practice, and initially formed local characteristics, but it is a long way to build a creative writing theory and discourse system with Chinese characteristics.
