Significance in new literary tradition, poetics of new poetry’s language has been the vital resource for the reform and construction of Chinese new poetry over the past century. Its poetic tradition mainly reflects in three aspects: first, the character of truth in poem with words having their substantive meanings. It advocates modern vernacular to express the truth of emotion and thoughts, making a distinct difference to the tradition of poetry of embellishing prose, focusing on metre and rhyme (Ge Lü Sheng Yun); second, the unification of the written and spoken language of modern tone has directly broken through the rigid limits of rhythm in poetry, open the mind and form of poem, and innovated modern poetry; third, open-form of poetry integrating in poetic language and meaning, has stimulated the formation of free verse, paying attention to sentence relation and semantic relation of poetry. Organic combination of modern vernacular and free verse is an effective mechanism and approach, transforming mutually consistent language and form of poetry to the mutual compatibility.
