Online Literature Canonization and Evaluation System Construction

Literary classics are of the times, and the canon of online literature is the product of the literary mechanism of the times. Compared with traditional literature, online literature is more consumer-oriented, people-friendly, and more focused on the reader’s reading experience. The evaluation of online novels should not simply apply the ideological and artistic standards of modern literature, but should take into full consideration the online nature, popularity, marketability, and the influence in cultural industry transformation of online fiction on the basis of artistic considerations. Canonical online literary works have perfect art forms and moving artistic power. It is difficult to find “eternal classics” in Chinese online literature, but a large number of “classics of the times” and writers with potentials to make classics have been produced.
