Palace Museum to strengthen research on ancient writing

On Feb. 25, the Institute of Forbidden City Studies released several research and publication projects, including Bamboo Slips Unearthed from Zoumalou of Changsha, Collation of and Research on the Unearthed Epitaph Since the Founding of PR China, Oracle Bones from the Yin Ruins Stored in the Palace Museum, Pre-Qin Bronze Wares with Inscriptions Stored in the Palace Museum, and the Family History of Poets and Painters in Ancient Dynasties. Shan Jixiang, the head curator of the Palace Museum, noted that five out of the eleven projects are related to the collation of and research on ancient writing, an area for which he says the Palace Museum intends to strengthen its research.
