Marxism is a great revolution in the history of human thought and profoundly changed the developmental process of human civilization and world socialism. From the very beginning, Marxism was a developing theory instead of a closed and rigid dogma. Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristic for a New Era is the contemporary Marxism and Marxism in the 21st century. This important thought puts forward series of original new important thought, viewpoints and statements, and thus enriches and develops scientific socialism, Marxist political economy, Marxist party-building theory, Marxist state theory, and Marxist philosophy. In contemporary China, adhering to and developing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristic for a New Era is to adhere to and develop Marxism. Studying and expounding Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristic for a New Era in depth and systematically is a great responsibility for both Chinese academia and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
