The Initiator and Leader of the Third Great Historical Reform in Modern

The socialist reform and opening up initiated and led by the contemporary CPC with Comrade Deng Xiaoping as their chief representative launched the second revolution led by the CPC, opened up the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics, formed the socialist system and theoretical system with Chinese characteristics, and opened up a new situation in the great cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. In launching socialism with Chinese characteristics, Comrade Deng Xiaoping made a contribution of outstanding merit. As the great inaugurator of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the general designer of China’s reform and opening up and its construction of modernization, and the first to formulate the theoretical system of socialism with Chinese characteristics, Comrade Deng Xiaoping made a great historical contribution to the third great historical reform since modern China and initiated and led this great historical reform. In the course of leading socialism with Chinese characteristics, Comrade Deng Xiaoping stood fast in the real world and looked ahead to the future. He forged a way ahead in practice and gave much thought to theoretical issues. He made theoretical innovations and political arrangements for major issues concerning the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics, leaving us an important ideological and political legacy.
