Deeply Grasp the Intrinsic Relationship between Cultural Inheritance and Development and Literary Research

Literary research requires responding to spiritual and cultural issues and practical problems in social development through literary means. Cultural inheritance and literary research are intrinsically related. The relationship between the development of Marxist literary and art theory and the “two integration” — integrating the basic tenets of Marxism with China’s specific realities and fine traditional culture — confirms the historical trajectory of the development of Marxist literary and art theory. The new tradition of contemporary literature needs to be built on the basis of the “two integration” and promote the inheritance and development of literary research in the mutual learning of Chinese and Western civilizations.
