Chen Xianda is an outstanding representative of contemporary Chinese Marxist philosophers, who devoted his life to the teaching and research of Marxism. He emphasized the integrated study of Marxist philosophy, political economics and scientific socialism, advocated interdisciplinary dialogue and exchange. He emphasized the synthesis of textual analysis of original works and theoretical principles, advocated a dialectical approach to Marxist philosophical study, and believed that historical research is a way of realistic research. Chen’s life epitomized the integration of Marxist philosophy research and education, and his scholarly achievements and philosophical worldview have had a profound impact on contemporary China.
