Under the constraints of technological complexity, resource scarcity and environmental uncertainty, digital platform ecosystems face paradoxical choices in balancing the interests of stakeholders in governance. Bibliometric analysis found that current research focuses on products, complementarities, innovation, and evolution as the main research themes. Based on the paradox theory, it is found that the different governance themes correspond to the paradoxical issues of seeking common ground while reserving differences in the identity of the product, autonomy and control of the rights of complementors, exploitation and exploration of platform innovation, and stability and development of platform evolution, respectively. The governance strategies include selective, integrative, hierarchical, and dynamic strategies, and follow the logic of complementarity and substitution.
