The Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China examined issues of further deepening comprehensive reforms to advance Chinese modernization. It introduced a range of new perspectives, propositions, and ideas that have deepened and broadened the theoretical framework of Chinese modernization. The session expanded understanding of key elements, including the goal orientation, value concepts, distinctive features, and fundamental guarantees of Chinese modernization. The newly emphasized concepts, ideas and strategies, such as the goal orientation of institutional modernization, a people-centered value orientation, along with the significant characteristics of comprehensive modernization and its fundamental guarantees, provide effective theoretical guidance for promoting the construction of a strong country and advancing national rejuvenation. These ideas and strategies also make new and significant contributions to building a theoretical system for Chinese modernization and the construction of China’s independent knowledge system.
