Chinese aesthetics is based on Chinese philosophy, and the difference between Chinese philosophy and Western philosophy in the way of thinking is one of the basic reasons for the formation of the characteristics of Chinese aesthetics. The characteristics of Chinese philosophy in its way of thinking are that it takes direct cognition as the starting point of thinking, pays attention to the theory of life, and is good at dialectical thinking. These characteristics have had a direct influence on the development of Chinese aesthetics, and led to the formation of Chinese traditional aesthetics, which focuses on the combination of artistic research and aesthetic experience research, emphasizes the unity of beauty and goodness, attaches importance to the interdependence of literature and quality, advocates the unity of Heaven and man in the harmony of the beauty of the world, and emphasizes the integration of emotion and reason. Only by exploring the characteristics of traditional Chinese aesthetics from the characteristics of Chinese philosophical thought can we clarify the ideological roots of the formation of the characteristics of traditional Chinese aesthetics, and thus reveal the fundamental difference between Chinese and Western aesthetics in terms of ideological system and theoretical construction.
