The formation of any theory has its own temporal background and intellectual circumstances. In the case of Marxist philosophy, the formation of its intellectual system went through a particularly difficult and complex historical process and is the result of the inherent unity of historical and intellectual logic. Thus research on Marxist philosophical history enables us to appreciate its spiritual essence and great significance from the commanding heights of history and the times, giving impetus to the construction of an academic discourse system with Chinese characteristics and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. In the new historical conditions, the key to deepening research on Marxist philosophical history lies in advancing it from the heights of methodological principles. To this end, we have invited two scholars to explore the topic of “Research on the History of Marxist Philosophy: Classic and Contemporary.”
